About the event
Workshop topics will cover Basic permaculture principles, Organic Bed Preparation for an Amazing Harvest, Companion Planting, Native Plant Gardens, Container Gardening, Herbs/Medicinal Herbs, Focus on Building & Maintaining Good Soil Health, Vignette Landscape Design, and Jam Canning Presentation & Food Safety.
Doug Mandel, Ghost Pine Native Plant Nursery President, will present the "Native Plant Gardens" talk.
The workshops will have three sessions of classes that last about 40 minutes each, and participants will be able to select topics for each session. There is a $5 charge to cover materials . There will be on-site soil analysis for soil samples.
Master Gardeners are also sponsoring a Plant Swap. Participants swap seeds or plant starts for plants/seeds that they need. For those without seeds/plants to swap, Master Gardeners will also have some seeds to share with participants. Bring healthy cuttings and plant starts in a plastic bag or place them in water to participate in a plant swap.
