December 2025 Newsletter
The theme of this newsletter is “Sustainability.” I summarize the good, the bad, and the ugly of the recent COP30 (UN Climate Summit) hosted by Brazil in Belém, “the gateway to the Amazon.” The main issues centered on decreasing carbon emissions and halting deforestation.
“Sustainable Landscaping” is my mid-December talk at the Turtle Bay Nursery. A climate crisis solution remains carbon sequestration, which plants excel at, especially native plants. Come visit the GPNPN online store for the right plant, in the right place, and for the right purpose:)

September 2025 Newsletter
This season is an especially active one for the GPNPN. We have organized three presentations—Attracting Pollinators, Native Plant Gardening, and Rainwater Harvesting—which will be followed by our annual Fall Plant Sales. GPNPN volunteers will be available to discuss native plants at both the Turtle Bay Nursery and Shasta College plant sales.
We welcome you to visit and immerse with us in the world of native plants.
