Wish List

Ghost Pine Native Plant Nursery Wish List

Since we rely on the generosity and kindness of our volunteers and donors, this list may be the seed that germinates someone saying, “I can help with that” or “I have something that I am not using, and GPNPN may be interested.”  This list is not exhaustive.  If you have something on this list or not, and you think it would help, please contact us.  Much appreciated:)

Volunteers

Volunteers are the cornerstones, keystone, and actually every stone of GPNPN. If you are interested in helping out, please contact us, and we will welcome you to the team.

Soil Sterilizer

We are currently solar soil sterilizing, but it is difficult even in the second sunniest city in the nation. Since sterile soil is a key component of BMP, and we would like a more user-friendly process, a steam-powered heat exchanger would be perfect. I know it is a longshot, but does anyone have one just lying around that they are not using?

Physical Site

The essence of GPNPN is education and inspiration. This is best accomplished by actually conversing one-on-one with someone. Even though we are an online nursery, we would love to have a physical site where during a few hours during a few days a week, we could talk about native plants, ecology, and whatnot… and maybe transition some GPNPN plants out of the pots and into gardens.

Used 1 Gallon Pots

Reusing 1 gallon pots adheres to the GPNPN mission. Keeping plastic pots out of the landfill or worse is a constant challenge. If you would like to donate your 1 gallon pots to the cause, please contact us, and we will make arrangements.

Off-Grid Greenhouse

We currently use an old Costco greenhouse with panels that occasionally need replacing. It still has a few more seasons of life, but we need electricity to improve propagation. Our list for this project includes solar panels, batteries, and an electrician. Any help with any of this would be greatly appreciated.
