 Desert willows provide super pollinator habitat, especially for hummingbirds, during our hot, dry summers; an excellent replacement for the ecologically deficient oleanders.

Looks great all 4 seasons – large clusters of flowers in spring/summer, gorgeous red berries in fall/winter, and attractive foliage throughout the year. Hollywood was named after Toyon, because this "holly" covered the hillsides.

Prunus is one of the top keystone species for supporting a vast array of wildlife. Tough and adaptable. Theodore Payne's 1941 catalog: "Of all our native shrubs, there is none more beautiful than this wild cherry with its rich, deep green holly-like foliage and sprays of white flowers.”
